A unique talent, Armand Elgrissy was born in Casablanca Morocco, and has traveled the world presenting his artwork. An American citizen residing in Florida, who speaks six languages. Elgrissy brings forward a perspective that is rarely seen in the art world today. Elgrissy first learned his craft in Morocco, where he studied from the masters the in the craftsmanship and detail of precise plaster cutting techniques, which have been used for over a thousand years.
Elgrissy studied with the masters around the world, including his beloved Paris, France where he discovered fine arts including sculptures from the Louvre's basement to the greatest museum on both banks. Elgrissy has mastered the art of lacquer on wood, which clothes itself on the objects as melting glass; Copper hammering of letters and symbols from all previous civilizations. This specialized craftsmanship is rarely seen in the world today, making Elgrissy one of the last masters of his kind to produce such magnificent pieces of work that have awed those from the regular collector to Presidents and Politicians alike. His mastery of the craft has known no bounds and has seen no limits. Elgrissy readily admits that most of his work is a construction of elements, which portray essentially the inner essence of the message being conveyed in that work of art. The process begins with the positioning of the basic elements such as triangles, circles, and squares guide the viewer's eye to the sequence of objects, which constitute by their color the narration of the subject matter of the work of art. Elgrissy also uses text that underlines the thought present during the first glance like a musical note signifies the tone of a song. Elgrissy has been honored in that some of the finest art collectors in many capitals of the world have acquired his masterpieces.
Elgrissy discovered in the mid-1970's that the art form known as cosmic art", which explores the galaxies and the sun.These far away studies then brought him back to Earth to realise it's Universality a globe with no frontiers for the brotherhood of Man. Elgrissy took his cosmic vision and began to work within the biblical sense of art, transcending itself into working within a true biblical series of paintings. Elgrissy knows no bounds in his love for Peace and it's potential Reality . While looking at the cosmic world and turning it into both a politically correct field and allowing satire to move within each piece of master craftsmanship.
